A MIDDLE-AGED man, Chukwunonso Odo, has been reported stabbed to death by a suspected mentally-challenged man, Wisdom Solomon,

at Umuagu quarters in Asaba, Delta State capital.That the incident occurred on Tuesday along Nnebisi road. An eyewitness said that the suspect had engaged his father in a fight and escaped. “The man was fighting his father and he quickly pushed the father and ran away. So, the father announced a reward for anybody that could apprehend his son. “Immediately, some people went after him, including Chukwunonso. Unfortunately the victim caught him, but unknown to him, Wisdom had a knife with him and he stabbed the victim.” Another witness said, “We quickly rushed to the scene and saw Chukwunonso in the pool of his blood and we carried him inside a tricycle to hospital. “On arrival at the hospital, the doctor confirmed him dead and his remains were moved to the mortuary”. Confirming the incident, yesterday, the state’s Police Public Relations Officer, (PPRO), Bright Edafe confirmed the killing, adding the suspect has not been arrested due to his mental state. He said, “The suspect is mentally-challenged. How can we arrest him? He ran away after stabbing the victim.”
