The All Progressives Congress (APC) Appeal Committee for the Governorship Primary election in Enugu State says it is yet to receive petitions from the election.
Chairman of the committee, Hajia Salahu Mamu, disclosed this while briefing newsmen on the activities of the committee on Saturday in Enugu.
According to her, members of the committee came to the state on Friday for the national assignment and have yet to receive a petition concerning the governorship primary.
Mamuh, who arrived in Enugu with her team, congratulated the party’s governorship flag bearer, Chief Uche Nnaji for his victory.
She also applauded the APC for finding her worthy to serve as chairman of the Appeal Committee in the just concluded governorship primary election.
The chairman then urged party members to rally around the governorship candidate to ensure that APC got an all-around victory in the upcoming general elections.
She said that the committee had met with the State Working Committee (SWC) and discovered that the election was rancor free and fair.
While commending the effort of the party in the state, she advised them that the only way to win general elections was to come together as a team, to achieve the desired goal.
The News Agency of Nigeria (NAN) reports that the governorship flag bearer was the sole candidate for the primary as no other aspirant purchased the form.
