In the ruling delivered this afternoon by Hon. Justice D.U. Okorowo, in Suit No: FHC/ABJ/CS/396/2022 Between Peoples Democratic Party and Hon. Tochukwu Okorie V. The Presidential Steering Committee on Covid-19, Director General of National Centre for Disease Control and Prevention, The Minister of Health, The Attorney General of the Federation, Department of State Security Services, Ebonyi State House of Assembly and Ors, the Court restrained the Commissioner of Police, Ebonyi State, the DSS, The Government of Ebonyi State and the Ebonyi State House of Assembly from interfering in the Plaintiff’s access to their Secretariat.

The said action was instituted via an Originating Summons filed and dated 23rd of March, 2022 wherein the Plaintiffs challenged the sealing of their State Secretariat by the Government of Ebonyi State for purportedly flouting the Ebonyi State Corona Virus and Other Infectious Diseases Law, 2020.
