The Chief Judge of Ogun State, Hon. Justice. M.A. Dipeolu, FICMC has directed that fees for searches must be paid before applications are received for processing of Certified True Copies (CTCs) of records of Court.
This directive is contained in a memo signed by the Deputy Chief Registrar I of the Ogun High Court of Justice, M.A. Akinyemi Esq. and addressed to all sectional heads of High Courts and Magistrate Courts in the State.
According to the memo, “I have the directive of My Lord, the Honourable Chief Judge, Hon. M.A. Dipeolu, FICMC to inform you that fees for search(es) must be paid by applicants before applications are received for processing of Certified True Copy (CTC) of records of courts be it Proceedings, Rulings, Judgement etc.”
The memo further stated that the sum of Five Hundred Naira (N500.00) shall be charged for each year and all through the years the record has been in existence of Court.
Attached to the memo is a tabular computation of the prescribed fee for guidance purposes.
