Governor Seyi Makinde, yesterday, launched a mobile application designed with many features, including access to details of landed property, without visiting the Ministry of Lands.
Speaking during a retreat organised for top management staff of the ministry, the Commissioner for Lands, Housing and Urban Development, Olayiwola Olusegun, who represented the governor, said the application, known as ‘Ilè D’olà Exchange’ under the Private Networks Nigeria Limited (PNN) initiative, is the first of its kind in Nigeria and would avail citizens the opportunity to make enquiries and suggestions on government services with assurances of receiving faster responses.
Makinde said the initiative was part of strategic measures to shore up the state’s Internally Generated Revenue (IGR).
He told the civil servants, who participated in the retreat, to justify the confidence and investment of the state government in them through the capacity-building aimed at learning new ways to fast-track operations, prevent leakages and improve productivity.
The CEO /Managing Director of PNN, AbdulRahman Abiola Odunowo, said the vision behind the new innovation was to key into the emerging global market with a view to unlocking the full potential in technological advancement in all land-related matters.
