*Says Theme Of The Week Is Timely *Expresses Confidence That Discussants Will Do Justice To The Theme
The Chairman Nigerian Bar Association Welfare Committee, Yakubu Chonoko Maikyau, SAN, has celebrated with NBA Ughelli on its Law Week and 20th Anniversary.
Y.C, SAN, in his goodwill message said: “It is indeed a pleasure extending my goodwill to the NBA Ughelli Branch on this special Law Week/Dinner which is memorable, because it also marks the 20th Anniversary of the Branch. To this end, I heartily felicitate with the entire members of the Branch.
“You would agree that, “repositioning the future of legal practice in Nigeria,” which happens to be the theme of the Law Week is germane and timely. It is important to note that it is the face of the profession that is being talked about. It is all we have to do to depict who we are, and the public has no other parameter to judge us. Our President, Mr. Olumide Akpata had during the AGC 2021 given us all the mandate to take the lead, and in doing so we must be pragmatic in our approach.
“It is therefore apt to have such a discourse as a front burner. I am quite confident that the Discussants would do justice to the theme and come up with brilliant ideas on how best to reposition the future of the legal practice in Nigeria.
“I hereby, wish all the participants a fruitful deliberation and a memorable 20th Anniversary celebrations.
“Long live NBA Ughelli Branch! “Long Live the Nigerian Bar Association!! “Long Live the Federal Republic of Nigeria!!!”
