e-filing application goes live, as Federal High Court, Nasarawa State Judiciary, 4tune Technologies partners

Recently, one of the indigenous leading Information Communication Technology firms, 4tune Technologies Ltd rolled out an electronic filing and case management application portal free for the Judiciary as part of her Corporate Social responsibility to ease the administration of justice.

Speaking with newsmen on the rate of adoption, the director of the firm, Mr. Fatai Abiodun expressed satisfaction with the level of acceptance of the system. He said so far, the application has been deployed for the Tax Appeal Tribunal nationwide and the counsel and tax practitioners have started enjoying it.

Speaking further, he said the firm has gone to train staff and the appeal commissioners, and have demonstrated the application for the Nasarawa State High Court and the Federal High Court on the usage which many of them can testify to the simplicity and efficiency of the system.

Mr. Fatai explained that Nasarawa State High Court and the Federal High Court just gave them official approval letters some weeks back and the deployment of the application on their respective servers is presently in top gear and the website link and awareness would soon be made known for the public before this month end.

“All other things being equal, by January of 2022, we shall embark on the training of the staff and member of the Nigerian Bar Association on how to use it while not ruling out the production of video materials and a manual guide for easy understanding.

“As an ICT Firm, we’re very much concerned about the administration of Justice. It’s no longer rocket science. The essence of digitalization is mainly to ensure efficiency by reducing time, effort, and cost, as each task is performed seamlessly online, at any time and from anywhere, whilst eliminating human error.

“With the digitalization and automation of the filing of processes from start to finish, users will have access to the portal anytime and any day, and the court can successfully manage all the processes filed to eradicate the issuance of conflicting courts orders.

“Since we launched it, we have received calls from lawyers’ nationwide showing interest in the application, but it left for the court to call us for the hosting and deployment so that lawyers can have an account registered on the portal for ease of filing, file reusability, and case administration.

“We are soliciting for your cooperation to help educate other states to adopt this novel concept to boost the administration of justice in their domain because we believe what affects justice, affects humanity.

“With this application, we believe that 70 percent of the challenges associated with delay of justice would be defeated, and common-man can truly experience the new face of the justice. The application is ready-made, easy to use, and solution-oriented from start to finish.”
