Minister of Industry, Trade and Investment Adeniyi Adebayo
The Minister of Industry, Trade and Investment, Otunba Adeniyi Adebayo, has commiserated with the government and people of Ekiti State on the death of the first Attorney-General and Commissioner of Justice in the State, Chief Makanjuola Esan (SAN).
Adebayo, in a statement on Monday by his media aide, Ifedayo Sayo, said the death of Esan was a loss to the legal profession and the people of Ekiti State, as well as the Afao-Ekiti community where the late lawyer hailed from.
“The minister noted the contributions of Chief Esan, SAN, as the first Attorney General and Commissioner for Justice towards the smooth take-off of the Ekiti State Judiciary after the state’s creation in August 1996.
“He said with the loss of the legal luminary, Ekiti State has been deprived of one of its notable sons who dedicated his life to the service of God, Ekiti State and humanity,” the statement reads partly.
