Former National Welfare Secretary of the Nigerian Bar Association Adesina Adegbite, FICMC, has commemorating with Enugu State Judiciary and the members of the Enugu Bar on their Legal Year.
Enugu State Judiciary has begun its 2021 Legal Year.
AA, in his statement on Friday, said, It was a great delight and most cherished moment to have taken part in the ceremony heralding the New Legal Year of the Enugu State judiciary.
“I listened with rapt attention to the outgoing Chief Judge of Enugu State, my Lord Justice Ngozi Priscilla Emehelu’s nearly two hours address.
“It was indeed a most impressive address laden with landmark achievements recorded during the tenure of outgoing Chief Judge.
“Perhaps my most cherished takeaway was the announcement by the CJ that Enugu State judiciary has dedicated five (5) Courtrooms each both in the High Court and the Magistrate Court for virtual hearing proceedings.
“According to my Lord, the courtrooms have been fully equipped with gadgets and infrastructure to ensure hitch-free virtual proceedings.
“It is my earnest prayer that this commendable project does not only become instantly operational but that it shall be sustainable.
“I must also commend the Five Branches of the NBA in Enugu State, who spoke through the Chairman of Enugu Branch, my dear brother Jude Ezeigwu Esq, who delivered a brilliant presentation on behalf of the Branches.
“I wish the Enugu State judiciary and all members of the Bar in Enugu State, a most productive and hazard-free 2021/2022 Legal Year.”
