ThE Lagos State Government has said it is developing strategies and initiatives that will enable the people of the state to create wealth.
The Commissioner for Wealth Creation and Employment, Mrs Yetunde Arobieke, said this on Thursday during the management staff retreat in Ikeja.
Arobieke said the retreat was organised by the Ministry of Wealth Creation and Employment to help its management develop policies that will positively impact the lives of the people.
She said, “We want to create wealth for women, youths and others and move our mandate forward.”
Arobieke urged the team members to think out of the box and proffer options to emerging challenges.
“As the management team, let’s think out of the box and create an enabling environment for wealth creation among the people. We will not relax, expecting things or situations to turn around before proffering options as new challenges require new thinking which in turn births solutions.”
The Permanent Secretary in the ministry, Mrs Kafayat Ajenifuja, said, “This retreat is a clear demonstration of our willingness to exchange ideas and up-skill. Sharpening these skills is to ensure we are continually connected to the rapidly changing dynamics in the professional hemisphere so that we are not left out in the changing trends in the world today.”
