Kano State House of Assembly, yesterday, invited the suspended chairman of the Public Complaints and Anti-Corruption Commission, Muhuyi Rimin-Gado, to answer questions on a petition filed against him by the state’s accountant-general.
The Assembly had, last week, directed the embattled anti-graft boss to proceed on one month suspension as it constituted an ad hoc committee to investigate the allegation against him in the petition.
In a letter signed by the Deputy Director, Legal Services at the Assembly, Abdullahi Bature, the suspended chairman was directed to present himself before the committee today by noon.
The Assembly also demanded Rimin-Gado to come along with details of recoveries made from 2015 to date, cash remittances, beneficiaries to the recoveries made, bank statements for recovery, expenditure and over-head cost accounts.
