The Lagos State Ministry of Physical Planning and Urban Development has called for the cooperation of residents over the construction of three roads in selected communities namely, Abeje Street in Ajeromi-Ifelodun LCDA, and Abaranje and Akesan-Obadore roads in Igando-Ikotun LCDA.
The event which was held at Ndubuisi Kanu Park, Alausa, was hosted by the Commissioner for Physical Planning and Urban Development, Dr Idris Salako.
Salako spoke on the government’s success in infrastructural development which is in line with the administration’s THEMES agenda.
He disclosed that the ministry would carry out the delivery of right of way, assuring that the state would compensate as applicable, residents whose businesses may have to be relocated due to the removal of structures.
“The administration of Mr Babajide Sanwo-Olu has been so unrelenting in upgrading road infrastructure for the socioeconomic development of Lagos State,” he said.
He highlighted that the meeting with beneficiaries to get feedback was proof of the administration’s commitment towards an inclusive government.
The Permanent Secretary, Office of Infrastructure, Rotimi Thomas, provided the project brief in his remarks.
