The Chief Judge (CJ) of the Lagos State Judiciary, Hon. Justice Kazeem Alogba, has approved the commencement of the Easter vacation of the court from the 2nd day of April, 2021, to the 9th day of April, 2021.

The announcement was made via a public notice from the court signed by the Chief Registrar of the court, Mrs. O.A. Okunuga.

The announcement which was dated March 1, 2021, noted that full resumption of work would commence on Monday, April 12th, 2021.

Furthermore, matter(s) of urgent nature may be heard whilst the vacation lasts. Such matter(s) are to be heard by the Judge before whom the substantive matter(s) is/are already assigned to.

However, where an urgent matter is to be heard but the substantive suit is yet to be assigned to any Judge, such a matter would be handled by the Judge to whom the substantive suit would [later] be assigned to.
 
Also, matters of urgent natures would only be handle in so far as the same complies with the condition prescribed by Order 49, Rule 5 of the High Court Rules.
