In lieu of the Easter holiday, the Chief Judge of Anambra State High Court, Hon. Justice Onochie M. Anyachebelu, has declared the Easter vacation of the court for the year 2021.
The Chief Judge who made the announcement pursuant to the powers ascribed to his office in Order 46, Rule 4(b) and 5(1) of the Anambra State High Court Rules.
According to the public notice assigned by the Chief Judge, the Easter vacation of the court will commence on Thursday, April 1, 2021, and rum till Monday, the 12th day of April 2021.
However, the court will officially commence its business from Tuesday, April 13, 2021.
Whilst the general court will be on vacation during the Easter period, the Hon. Justice Peace N.T. Otti of the Awka Division will however sit as a vacation Judge.
The public notice also noted that the sitting of the vacation Judge will remain subject to any change in direction from the Chief Justice of Nigeria, the Anambra State Government [including the Judiciary] with regards to attempts to tackle the dreaded Covid-19 virus.
