Governor of Ondo State, Rotimi Akeredolu |
An Assistant Director, Property Tax, Ondo State Internal Revenue Service, Mr Dele Falade, has urged residents of the state to pay land use charge for the development of the communities.
Falade made the appeal in Akure, the state capital, on Saturday after inspecting some community roads graded by the agency.
He advised the people of the state who have houses and other property to see the payment of their land use charge as civic responsibility for the state government to develop their communities.
“It is clear that the current leadership of the ODIRS is very transparent, accountable and committed to the provision of basic amenities to the communities,” the News Agency of Nigeria quoted Falade as saying.
Responding, a community leader in Akure, Chief Gbenga Akinseye, commended ODIRS for its developmental projects in the area.
