
The schoolteacher and her husband, Ogechukwu, had first appeared on October 31 before the panel and narrated to the retired Justice Doris Okuwobi-led panel how she was arrested by SARS, detained, and tortured over a period of 22 days till she lost her two-month pregnancy.
Obiechina said she suffered a second miscarriage later in October 2017 when her husband was re-arrested.
The couple is seeking the enforcement of the N2m compensation awarded against the police by the Federal High Court in Lagos, following their ordeal.
At the Tuesday sitting, Justice Okuwobi, after the submission of the parties’ written addresses, said the panel’s decision would be communicated to the parties “when it’s ready”.
