Lists Abuja, Lagos & Port Harcourt As Core Stations During Vacation
The Chief Judge (CJ) of the Federal High Court, His Hon. Justice John T. Tsoho has issued a circular notifying the Judges of the commencement of Christmas vacation from Tuesday, 22nd December, 2020.
This is contained in circular dated 18th day of November, 2020 issued by the Honourable CJ which was made available to ASKLEGALPALACE.
“Pursuant to the provisions of Order 46, Rule 4 (C) of the Federal High Court Civil Procedure Rules, 2019, the Federal High Court will proceed on its Christmas vacation for the year 2020 from Tuesday, 22nd December, 2020 to Friday, 8th January, 2021.”
In addition, it was stated that the resumption of Court shall be on Monday, 11th January, 2021, adding that during “the Vacation, only the core stations will, as usual, remain functional and open to the litigating public throughout the vacation”.
Furthermore, the CJ noted that during the period of vacation, only matters relating to the enforcement of fundamental rights, arrest or release of vessels, and other matters of national interest will be entertained by the vacation Judges.
Meanwhile, the vacation Judges are Lagos Division: Hon. Justice M.S Hassan; Port Harcourt Division: Hon. Justice A.T Mohammad and Abuja Division: Hon. Justice N.E Maha.
