A very senior lawyer, former Attorney General of Rivers State, Chief Barinua Wifa, SAN is reported to have died.

A reliable source confirmed to ASKLEGALPALACE L correspondent, that he died on Sunday, in London after a brief illness.

Chief Wifa, SAN was one of the prominent individuals who spearheaded the amendment of the 1999 Constitution of the Federal Republic of Nigeria.

He was a former Chairman of the Port Hacourt Branch of the Nigerian Bar Association and a member of the National Judicial Council between 2006 and 2010.

Until his death, he lived an exceptional life style worthy of commendation and emulation.
