The DCP Atayero Patrick-led police team yesterday visited Rivers State to assess the extent of loss by the force to the recent EndSARS demonstrations across the federation.
Addressing newsmen after a tour of the state police command in Port Harcourt and other formations, as well as condolence visits to families of some of the late officers at Afam, Umuebule, Oyibo divisional and area command headquarters, Patrick described the damage to infrastructure, personnel and weapons as monumental.
Regretting the entire event, the DCP said the findings of his team would be forwarded to IGP Mohammed Adamu, who will make the report public through office of the Force Public Relations Officer.
Senior officers of Rivers command were part of the exercise.
