Paul Usoro, NBA President
The President of the Nigerian Bar Association (NBA) Paul Usoro (SAN) has asked Access bank in the three affected states of lockdown Order by President Muhammadu Buhari to open up their branches to enable lawyers to pay their Bar Practicing fee and branch dues accordingly.

He said that the reason is for those who have not paid their Bar Practicing fee to do so since he does not have the powers solely on him to extend the time.

He also urged other lawyers in other states where the order is not existing to use today to make their payment.

“I have no power to extend the time for payment of Bar Practicing Fee and branch dues. I can only do the ones within my powers which I have done.

“I have contacted Access bank to open their branches in the States that the Stay-At-Home order has affected.

“Access bank in Ota, Ogun State opened 4 of her branches for NBA members, which after my directives to them, called the branch Chairman, Issac Ogba to inform him that the branches are open.

“They can also use the online platform which is very effective to make their payment.
