Over 200 contractors vow to sue Federal Ministry for alleged N40b debt
Nothing less than 200 contractors have threatened to sue the Federal Ministry of Agriculture and Rural Development (FMARD) over alleged non-payment of their N40 billion debt incurred from execution of various projects in 2018.

The contractors claimed that they were duly awarded the contracts but were yet to be paid despite releases by the Ministry of Finance.

Addressing the media on behalf of the group yesterday in Abuja, Mr. Nwanebu Elias described as “injustice and an act of corruption” the refusal of the ministry to release the funds despite knowing that loans were procured in executing the jobs without mobilisation fees.

According to him, they have paid several visits and written numerous correspondences to the ministry and other top management staff to no avail.
