Supreme Court dismisses case challenging Gov Zulum’s nomination |
The Supreme Court on Thursday dismissed a suit filed by Alhaji Idris Mamman-Gatumbwa challenging the nomination of Governor Babagana Zulum by All Progressives Congress as the governorship candidate for the 2019 general elections.
Justice Jonn Okoro, in a lead judgment, held that the case was statute barred and therefore dismissed the motion on notice brought by Gatumbwa.
“This appeal is hereby dismissed haven been withdrawn by the counsel to the appellant without any objection and there shall be no order as to cost.
NAN reports that the Court of Appeal, Jos Division in March, dismissed an appeal challenging the nomination of Zulum of the APC.
