24-year-old man arraigned for stealing computer, N850,000 in Rivers
24-year-old man arraigned for stealing computer, N850,000 in River
The Rivers State Police Command, on Thursday, arraigned a 24-year-old man, Kenneth Obozua, before a Chief Magistrates’ Court sitting in Port Harcourt for allegedly stealing N850,000 and a computer central processing unit.

Obozua was accused of burgling a petrol station belonging to one Mrs Eucharia Nwachukwu at Trans Amadi, Port Harcourt, and carting away the items with the help of his accomplices, who are still at large.

The alleged offences were said to have been committed on May 1, 2019, at Trans Amadi, Port Harcourt.

The accused pleaded not guilty to the three counts preferred against him.

The prosecutor, Inspector Wilson Isaiah, told the court that the offences contravened sections 516(a), 413(II) and 390(10a) of the Criminal Code CAP 37 Vol. II, Laws of Rivers State of Nigeria, 1999.

The Chief Magistrate, Sokari Andrew-Jaja, granted bail to the accused and adjourned the matter till June 10, 2019, for hearing.
