Court grants lawmaker N50m bail in alleged murder case
[FILES] 26-year-old security man, Paul Oko, has been remanded in prison for allegedly defiling an 11-year-old pupil.
A high Court sitting in Ibadan yesterday admitted the Chief Whip of Oyo State House of Assembly, Olafisoye Akinmoyede, who was allegedly linked to the murder of Temitope Olatoye, to bail in the sum of N50 million.

Olatoye, a member of the House of Representatives, representing Lagelu/Akinyele Federal Constituency, was shot dead on March 9 at Lalupon in Lagelu Local Council of the state.

Admitting Akinmoyede to bail, Justice Mashud Abass ordered him to produce two sureties in like sum one of who must be a civil servant not below Grade Level 14 or a member of the state House of Assembly or National Assembly.

The judge also ordered that the second surety must be a blood relation with landed property worth N50 million.
