The Election Tribunal sitting in Kano has ordered Independent National Electoral Commission (INEC) to allow Peoples Democratic Party (PDP) access to electoral materials used for the gubernatorial poll.

PDP’s candidate, Abba Kabiru Yusuf, had challenged the declaration of Governor Abdullahi Umar Ganduje of the All Progressives Congress (APC) as winner of the March 23, 2019 supplementary election in the state.

In her ruling, Justice Halima granted PDP’s prayers and ordered INEC to surrender photocopies, scanned and other certified materials used during the Kano elections.

The tribunal, however, ordered that two or three members of APC should be observers during the inspection exercise.
