Election: Nigerians shouldn’t blame INEC -CLO
The Chairman, Civil Liberty Organisations in Bayelsa State, Mr. Nengi James, has urged the Independent National Electoral Commission to address challenges hindering the conduct of credible elections.

The News Agency of Nigeria reports that INEC had, early on Saturday, announced the postponement of the elections scheduled for February 16 and March 2 to February 23 and March 9 respectively.

James, who is also the Coordinator, South South Transition Monitoring Group for the general election, said this while addressing journalists on Saturday in Yenagoa.

“Nigerians should not blame INEC because this is not the first time election is being postponed.

“Though, the news came as a surprise to us, since it has been done already, we need to work together to see that democracy thrives in Nigeria,” he said.(NAN)
