A Federal High Court sitting in Abakaliki, Ebonyi State, yesterday adjourned ruling in a suit filed by Professor Benard Odoh in the September 30, 2018 and October 1, 2018 All Progressives Congress (APC) primary election to February 6, 2019.

He had in the suit, challenged the outcome of the exercise, in which Senator Sonni Ogbuoji was declared winner.

Odoh, who polled 519 votes, was declared the first runner-up, while Ogbuoji got 785 votes and was declared winner by the Senator Domingo Obende-led electoral committee.

The plaintiff in the originating summons filed on October 19, 2018 with suit No: FHC/AI/CS/50/2018, alleged that there were widespread irregularities during the primaries.

He said the electoral fraud was perpetrated through the use of fake delegates list for Ikwo and Ezza South local government areas totaling 31 electoral wards, which he claimed gave undue advantage to Ogbuoji, who is the fourth defendant in the matter.
