A Federal High Court sitting in Awka , Anambra State, on Thursday sacked the state chairman of the All Progressives Congress, Mr Emeka Ibe.
Others affected by the judgement were members of the executive committee of the party in the state.
The development was sequel to a petition to the court in suit number FHC/AWK/CS/70/2018 by one of the state chairmanship contestants in the party’s congress in May, Mr Onyi Uzochukwu.
Uzochukwu had contended that Ibe was not properly nominated for the congress.
He asked the court to nullify the congress and call for a fresh one.
In his judgement, Justice I. B Gafai, nullified the congress and ordered a fresh one.
Spokesman for the partyin the state, Okelo Madukaife, who was affected by the judgement, said the court processes relating to the judgement had not been given to the persons sacked.
