A former governor of Kaduna State, Ramalan Yero, was on Friday grilled by the Economic and Financial Crimes Commission (EFCC) for four hours over his alleged role in the disbursement of N750m campaign funds of the Peoples Democratic Party in the 2015 elections.
The former governor, as well as a former PDP Chairman in the state, Haruna Gaya; and a former Secretary to the State Government, Hamza Ishaq, were said to have voluntarily reported themselves at the Kaduna office of the EFCC for interrogation.
They were later released on administrative bail after answering questions from the EFCC operatives for over four hours.
Meanwhile, Yero, through his spokesperson, Yakubu Lere, has said he wasn’t involved in the alleged fraud.
