Mrs. Ajayi Adesanmi, a victim of an assault by a naval commodore, Gbenga Oyesotan, has said that she is going to file a N100m lawsuit against her abuser.
Oyesotan had allegedly assaulted and tortured Adesanmi because he thought she colluded with his wife who ran out of their matrimonial home.
According to an online medium, www.ationalhelm.co, the commodore had allegedly led a group of armed naval ratings and stormed Adesanmi’s beauty salon at Ilupeju Road, Oluyole Extension, Ibadan, Oyo State, at about 1 pm on February 25, 2018, demanding from her the whereabouts of his estranged wife and children.
He had allegedly ordered the naval ratings to strip Adesanmi naked and beat her up. Later, Adesanmi was said to have been taken to Oyesotan’s naval base, where he allegedly locked her up and tortured her.
According to the online news medium, the General Counsel for the Joint Legal Action Aids, Kingsley Ughe, is said to be filing the lawsuit on behalf of Adesanmi.
