Senator Melaye urges Buhari to fish out the ‘wrong pegs’ in government
The controversial Senator, a member of the National Assembly, the Senate representing Kogi West Senatorial District, Senator Dino Melaye, has urged President Muhammadu Buhari to sack persons he described as “wrong pegs” in government.

Senator Melaye stated this in his reaction to the sacking of ex-Secretary to the Government of the Federation, Oke and Mr. Babachir Lawal, by the President Buhari on Monday.

While the senator Melaye sketched the drawing by describing Babachir Lawal’s sacking as “belated,” he, however, called for extension of the “sack drug” to the “wrong pegs” in Buhari’s administration.

Senator Melaye said, “Excellent move by Mr. President, though coming late. Boss Mustapha is a decent man; intellectually mobile and administratively sagacious. This ‘sack drug’ must extend to other indicted public officials, including the wrong pegs in this government.

“There is urgent need for a rejig. We must use the less than two years remaining to fulfill our campaign promises because we are poles away from our promises.”
