Nnanna, who allegedly posed as mentally challenged, was arraigned on two charges bordering on conspiracy and kidnapping.
The Chief Magistrate, Mr Tajudeen Elias who ordered the remand, said that the case file should be duplicated and forwarded to the State Director of Public Prosecutions as the defendant ought to be arraigned in a high court.
Earlier, Kehinde Omisakin, the prosecutor told the court that the accused committed the offences on October 16 at 8.00 a.m., at No. 90, Oyewoke St., Orile-Agege.
The accused had attempted to kidnap the baby, Abayomi Darasimi, by luring him with a N50 note while he was playing in front of his home, she alleged.
The offences contravened Sections 2 and 3 of the Kidnapping Prohibition Law of Lagos State, 2017 which stipulates a death sentence for offenders.
